BREAKING: Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa arrested in Finland hours to Nigeria elections

Former Radio Biafra anchorman, Simon Ekpa has been arrested in Finland.

Ekpa was taken into custody on Thursday 48 hours earlier than the beginning of the overall elections in Nigeria.

Felony Investigator, Tommi Reen from the Central Felony Police instructed the HS information outlet that the Keskusrikospoliisi (KRP), the Nationwide Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Finland had a police operation in a personal residence within the centre of Lahti.

Reen mentioned the operation was related to an ongoing preliminary investigation. He didn’t remark additional on the matter.

Nigeria had requested Finland to intervene in Ekpa’s actions. Final week, the Minister of Overseas Affairs Godfrey Onyeama invited the Finnish ambassador, Leena Pylvänäinen to a gathering.

The Finland-based authorized practitioner and a former athlete is thought for his subversive feedback in opposition to the nation and its management.

The political activist had in recent times spoken in opposition to the unity of the nation, insisting the Republic of Biafra should be achieved.

Ekpa elevated his campaigns after June 2021 re-arrest and repatriation of Nnamdi Kanu, founding father of the Indigenous Folks of Biafra, IPOB.

Safety and intelligence service have linked the kidnapping and murders within the South-East to speeches made by Ekpa.
