BREAKING: Rivers Election: Kidnapped APC campaign director shot dead

Mr Chisom Lennard, the Marketing campaign Director of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ahoada-West Native Authorities Space of Rivers State who was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday has been killed.

The deceased was reportedly kidnapped by the unknown gunmen who have been wearing police uniform whereas he was casting his vote at Ibagwa polling unit 2, Ward 10 in Ahoada West LGA.

Lennard was exercising his franchise in the course of the governorship and state meeting elections when the incident occurred.

In response to reviews, the APC chieftain was making efforts to cease the gunmen from snatching election supplies when he was whisked away to an unknown vacation spot.

The state Publicity Secretary of the social gathering, Darlington Nwauju confirmed the incident to Every day Belief on Sunday.

Nwauju acknowledged, “He was kidnapped from his polling unit in the course of the voting course of and brought away.

“No person knew the place they took him to. It was later yesterday night (Saturday) that his physique was found. He was the APC LGA caretaker chairman and a PhD pupil at Rivers State College.”
