Fayemi declines EFCC invitation, gives reason

The previous Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has declined an invite by the Financial and Monetary Crime Fee, EFCC, over an investigation involving cash laundering.

DAILY POST sighted an invite letter dated twelfth Might 2023, despatched to Fayemi by the EFCC.

In response to the letter, the Fee mentioned it wanted clarifications from Fayemi as a part of the investigation.

The assertion additional disclosed that Fayemi’s scheduled interview with the EFCC could be held on 18th Might 2023.

Nevertheless, Fayemi who had acknowledged the receipt of the fee’s letter through his authorized representatives claimed he wouldn’t be accessible for the interview on that individual day.

The previous Minister of Stable Minerals said that he could be engaged within the presentation and launching of two new books in honour of President Muhammadu Buhari.
