Late KWASU VC, Professor Muhammed Akanbi buried in Ilorin

Late Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State College, Malete, KWASU, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN, was buried in Ilorin on Monday.

He was buried at his father’s residence, No 6, Agba Dam Avenue, off Ahmadu Bello Approach, GRA, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, at about 4:30 p.m.

The Muslim janazat prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir, attended by a tumultuous crowd of members of the family, associates, attorneys, judges and prime authorities officers.

Visitors was held up on the ever-busy Ahmadu Bello Approach till the conclusion of the burial.

Additionally in attendance had been Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, the Secretary to the State Authorities, Professor Saaba Jibril, Vice-Chancellor of the College of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole, workers of the College of Ilorin and Kwara State College.

The late VC, Professor of Regulation and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, died on Sunday evening in a Lagos hospital after a short sickness at 51.

He’s survived by his spouse and youngsters.
