Suspected kidnappers kill three police officers in Rivers state, abduct managing director of oil company (photos)



Suspected kidnappers killed three law enforcement officials serving as escorts to the managing director of an oil firm at Rumuokoro space of Obio/Akpor Native Authorities Space of Rivers State on Thursday, November 24.


The suspected kidnappers opened fireplace on the convoy of the managing director, killing his police escorts after which kidnapped him. The law enforcement officials had been in a Hilux car when their attackers opened fireplace.


Eyewitnesses say the gunmen blocked the car wherein the highest oil employee was in earlier than they rained bullets on the opposite one which conveyed the deceased law enforcement officials.


Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, stated a full-scale investigation has been launched.


“Sure, it’s true that three policemen had been killed. It is rather unlucky. They had been offering escort for the oil firm staff when the incident occurred. However we’re on it and an investigation has been launched instantly into the incident with a view to apprehend the suspects,” she stated
