Three brothers beat neighbour to death for allegedly stealing their motorcycle in Kebbi



The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested three brothers for beating a neighbour, Abbas Abubakar, to demise after accusing him of stealing their bike in Birnin Kebbi city.


Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Nafiu Abubakar, who confirmed the arrest  in an announcement on Friday, September 23, mentioned the Police Commissioner, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora has ordered discreet investigation into the incident.


Based on the PPRO, the suspects, Abubakar Ahmed, Ubaidu Ahmed and Halilu Ahmed, took Abubakar to their home, tied him with a rope and beat him to coma. 


The deceased was rushed to a hospital afterwards the place he was confirmed useless by a medical physician. 


“On the nineteenth September, 2022 at about 0400hrs, one Abubakar Ahmed, Ubaidu Ahmed and Halilu Ahmed all ‘m’ of Badariya space, Birnin Kebbi, conspired and went to the residence of 1 Sanusi Abubakar ‘m’ of the identical tackle and demanded him to name his junior brother named Abbas Abubakar A.Okay.A Zabi for them, as a result of they have been suspecting him to have stolen their bike, a Haojue Roba-Roba,” the assertion learn.


“When Abbas Abubakar was referred to as, the suspects took him to their home, tied him with a rope and beat him as much as a state of comma. On the identical date at about 1430hrs, the suspects took the mentioned Abbas Abubakar of their motorized vehicle to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Birnin Kebbi. Therefore, they have been immediately arrested and rushed Abbas Abubakar to Sir Yahaya memorial hospital, Birnin Kebbi, the place he was confirmed useless by a medical physician.
